Automatic Gate Motor Installation
A gate motor opens and closes your compound gate at the press of a remote, from your phone, from the video door phone or automatically as your car approaches. Sliding gates use a motor that drives a rack along the gate; swing gates use arms or underground motors at the hinges.

Gate Motors questions
Can my existing gate be automated?
Most gates can, provided they move smoothly by hand. We may need to repair rollers, tracks or hinges first.
How do I open the gate if the power fails?
With battery backup the gate keeps working for a number of cycles. Every motor also has a manual release key.
Can the gate open from my video door phone?
Yes — we can link the gate to the door phone so you can see the visitor and open the gate from the screen.
Is it safe around children and pets?
With photocells, force limiting and safety edges, the gate stops and reverses if it meets an obstacle. We test this at handover.
