CCTV Camera Installation
A CCTV system is a set of cameras that record to a network video recorder (NVR) and stream to your phone. Modern IP cameras capture sharp, high-resolution video, see clearly at night with infrared or colour night vision, and can send alerts when they detect a person or vehicle.

What it is
CCTV, in plain language
The quality of a CCTV system depends as much on design as on hardware: where the cameras are, what they are aimed at, how much storage is needed and how the network is secured.

FAQ
CCTV questions
How many cameras do I need?
Enough to cover every entry point and the approach to it. For a typical independent house that is often four to eight cameras; we confirm it on site.
Wired or wireless cameras?
Wired PoE cameras are more reliable and secure. Wireless cameras suit places where cabling is impossible.
Can the cameras see at night?
Yes. IR cameras see in black and white in the dark; colour night-vision cameras use a little ambient or built-in light to show colour.
Is my footage private?
We secure recorders with strong passwords, keep cameras on an isolated network and update firmware under AMC.
